How I actually use Claude Cowork to run my business

People ask me what tools I use. The honest answer is mostly just one: Claude.

Here’s what a normal day looks like.

Morning

I open Claude Cowork and ask it to draft an offer letter for a freelancer I’m bringing in. It knows my company details, formats everything, includes the right clauses. Done in 30 seconds.

Then I ask it to review a vendor contract someone sent me. It flags 3 clauses I should push back on. I copy-paste the suggested edits and send them back.

That used to be a RM 300 lawyer consultation.

Afternoon

I need social media content for the week. I tell Claude what I shipped this week, and it gives me 5 posts — different angles, different platforms. I pick the ones I like, tweak a bit, schedule them.

Then I ask it to pull together a cash flow summary for the month. It formats everything into a clean report I can actually read.

The pattern

Everything I used to hire separate people for — HR, legal, marketing, finance — I now do from one chat window.

I’m not saying Claude is perfect. Sometimes I need to correct it. Sometimes I need to be specific about Malaysian context (like EPF, SOCSO, EIS deductions).

But it’s 10x faster than waiting for a person to get back to me. And it doesn’t charge by the hour.
