I fired my accountant

Let me tell you what my accountant did every month:

  1. Key in my invoices into a system
  2. Categorise expenses
  3. Generate a P&L report
  4. Send me a PDF

RM 1,500/month. Every month. For 4 tasks that a script can do in under 2 seconds.

What I replaced it with

I built an e-invoice system that connects to LHDN directly. Every sale auto-generates a compliant e-invoice. Expenses get categorised automatically. Reports generate themselves.

The whole thing runs on Claude Code + Firebase. I built it in a weekend.

”But you still need an auditor”

Yes. For the annual audit, I still use a licensed auditor. That’s the law.

But the day-to-day bookkeeping? The monthly invoicing? The expense tracking? All of that is software now.

The math

Before: RM 1,500 × 12 = RM 18,000/year

Now: Hosting costs. Maybe RM 50/month.

That’s RM 17,400 back in my pocket. Every year.

If you’re running a Sdn Bhd and you’re still paying someone to key in invoices — you don’t have to.
